The neck, shoulders and jaw are areas where many of us accumulate and hold chronic tension in the body. This can happen for many reasons, whether from too many zoom meetings and eye strain, injury, repetitive movement, shallow breathing or stress. This workshop will offer you tools to bring relief and support to the neck, shoulders and jaw, and techniques to manage chronically held tension in your daily life.
This series offers carefully sequenced practices and adaptations for a variety of conditions, and education to better understand the anatomy and relationship of the neck, shoulders, and jaw. You will learn how to release chronically held tension, techniques to strengthen muscles to stabilize the neck and shoulder girdle, the importance of good posture, and functional diaphragmatic breathing for core strength and stress management.
